These things are good and profitable unto men. 9 - But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. If we're going to enjoy our journey with God and walk without distractions, we need to learn to prioritise events, activities, and how we spend our energy. I have learned that not everything requires a response; there are times we just need to be silent and focus on what is beneficial to us. Paul was admonishing Titus, his son in the Lord, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit about prioritising. DAILY DIVINE WORD  Tuesday, 21st July 2026 Topic : IN DUE TIME Text : 1Peter 5:6 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. In my imagination, if you ask anyone why it is difficult to follow God, I think many would say it's because God's ways and timing seem longer. In human calculation, it always looks longer and delayed, without understanding of God and his ways, which can be marked as incorrect. Even at that, every activity done on this planet has timing. When a woman conceives, whether she wants it or not, the child must stay for 90 days, and even when something unusual happens and she's forced into labour when the time is not up, the baby would have to be kept and monitored so that the baby can fulfil the days. When a man's life seems to be going in a direction with no conviction or assurance of anything good happening ahead, it can be said that such a person works in darkness. As discussed yesterday, purity is one attribute that we can describe God with, and it's a demand God has placed on us by his grace. Every child of God must access this grace and be as pure as God. The essence of our creation as man is to be like God; this was clearly stated before God created man in Genesis 1:26  " And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." So, it was the intention of God since the beginning that man should be exactly in his image. One of the attributes of God's image is purity; there's no shadow of doubt whatsoever. There are times when we struggle to find the right word to explain or describe certain things. One of such things is the love Christ has for us. Yes, we might have read about it or heard about it, but it's so deep that we can't even understand how much deeper or how wide his love is. However, knowing and being certain of his love towards us should change our relationship with the Lord and draw us closer to him because of the magnitude of his love. If there's a prayer every child of God must pray is that prayer of God making our hearts like that of a child. For Jesus to have set them up as a yardstick for how every child of God must accept and see the issue of the kingdom, it means we must mirror ourselves and pray that our hearts yield to these demands of the kingdom. DAILY DIVINE WORD  Wednesday, 8th July 2026 Topic : LET IT GO Text : Colossians 3:13-14 13 - Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 - And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. It's natural when people work and live together to have offences, and it's going to happen so many times, to live and enjoy our relationship, we must learn to let go of offenses no matter how extremely bad it may be. While every child of God must strive to avoid offending people through our words and actions, we must also note that each time we are offended, the right response is to let go.  Is forgiveness a difficult thing to do? Absolutely yes, and I believe that no man can forgive especially offences that are grievous. But as difficult as this may be, the expectations of God are that we forgive as God forgives.
