Topic: SECRET OF PURITY 1

Text: John 17:17

John.17.17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

The essence of our creation as man is to be like God; this was clearly stated before God created man in Genesis 1:26 

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

So, it was the intention of God since the beginning that man should be exactly in his image. One of the attributes of God's image is purity; there's no shadow of doubt whatsoever. For this purpose, Jesus came to restore the initial order by forgiving sins and also saving us from its power. So, since Jesus has come to do that, we must embrace what God has done through Jesus Christ.

In Christ, we have hope of glory; that means in him we are made complete. For us to be as pure as he is, one of the secrets of purity is the truth. In the anchor scripture, Jesus prayed to God that he would sanctify us with the truth, and the truth is God's word. What brings purity to a man's life is God's word. 

The difference between a moralist and a purified man is God's word. While a moralist works hard to be pleasant unto men, a purified man walks through God's word and becomes pleasant unto God.

It's the expectation of God that you're pure as he is; no man can fulfil that except you allow God's word to work through you and in you. Give yourself to God's word, meditate on it, and allow the expression of God's word in your life, and you will naturally express purity not as an obligation but as a fruit. 

His word is spirit and life.

DAILY DIVINE WORD  Wednesday, 8th July 2026 Topic : LET IT GO Text : Colossians 3:13-14 13 - Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 - And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. It's natural when people work and live together to have offences, and it's going to happen so many times, to live and enjoy our relationship, we must learn to let go of offenses no matter how extremely bad it may be. While every child of God must strive to avoid offending people through our words and actions, we must also note that each time we are offended, the right response is to let go.  Is forgiveness a difficult thing to do?
