Topic: AVOID FOOLISH CONTROVERSY 

Text: Titus 3: 8-9

8 - This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9 - But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

If we're going to enjoy our journey with God and walk without distractions, we need to learn to prioritise events, activities, and how we spend our energy. I have learned that not everything requires a response; there are times we just need to be silent and focus on what is beneficial to us.

Paul was admonishing Titus, his son in the Lord, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit about prioritising. The reason he gave to avoid foolish questions, genealogies, and contention is that they're not profitable and they are vain. It is not expedient that one spend time and energy on what is unprofitable. 

The expectations of God for your life and your responsibility towards your generation are worth your time and energy; why engage in foolish arguments about spiritual things? Some people are not ready to learn or unlearn, and so it is unprofitable to continue to argue when you know it's certain they would not change their stance. Also, if there's any need to give an explanation, if you have explained what you think is correct, instead of arguing, hear them out and leave it like that. More things deserve your attention than that.

Learn to prioritise what is important to your journey of life.

DAILY DIVINE WORD  Wednesday, 8th July 2026 Topic : LET IT GO Text : Colossians 3:13-14 13 - Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 - And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. It's natural when people work and live together to have offences, and it's going to happen so many times, to live and enjoy our relationship, we must learn to let go of offenses no matter how extremely bad it may be. While every child of God must strive to avoid offending people through our words and actions, we must also note that each time we are offended, the right response is to let go.  Is forgiveness a difficult thing to do?
