Topic: LET NO MAN DESPISE YOU.
Text: Titus 2: 13-15
13 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 - Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
There are phases or stages of life, from birth to old age. Each of these phases is uniquely important with different features and advantages. For example, a child has no worries; he doesn't care how he gets protected or provided for, while an adult would care about all of these and work out for himself to get it done. An old man lives on reflection and navigates his life with experience.
However, one of the best gifts an adult has is his strength; the Bible says the glory of a youth is in his strength. Strength in mind, agility, creativity, passion and zeal. As important and beautiful as the strength is, it's a great asset and must be protected. In fact, as a child of God, you must also be guided and protected because the moment the devil compromises your strength as a youth, it's going to be a difficult journey.
In the epistle Paul wrote to Titus, he gave him the expectations of God as God's servant, and what should be his message as a young minister. He ended chapter 2 with a serious counsel, and that is "These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. LET NO MAN DESPISE THEE." Paul was admonishing Titus that whatever he teaches, it must come with authority, and then, he must not give room for anyone to despise him. In other words, ensure that no one undermines your strength; don't give room for anyone to dismiss or invalidate your strength.
It's not about ego or being stiff-necked; your strength is your glory as a young man, and you must protect it. Don't get to a point where anyone would look at you and diminish your strength (glory). How can that be? Remember, Paul said Titus should preach with authority. It means you must be prepared in seasons out of season, studying to show yourself approved unto God. You must show up, and people acknowledge that you know what you're doing.
Be prepared, be ready!

When men looked at the Apostles in Acts 2, they attempted to despise them by saying they were drunk. Peter didn't allow that; he spoke up, and by the time people would realise, they were shocked that even though they were not learned, they spoke with so much wisdom and authority. If you allow yourself to be despised, you have lost your authority.
