Topic: BE ALL OUT!

Text: Matthew 22:1-5 
1- And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2 - The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3 - And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4 - Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5 - But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise.

The difference between a man who hears God's word and the word profits him and another man who also hears but doesn't profit from it is that the word doesn't mix with faith, according to the scriptures, and this is a response to the word heard. It's essential to note that every word God speaks, no matter how infinitesimal it may seem to us or how illogical it sounds, is indeed 'yes' and 'amen', and there's no shadow of darkness in it. 

The parable Jesus spoke about in the scriptures above is a clear example of how many people respond to God's word, and it is a result of what our society, church, family, and lives have become. The Bible says in verse 5:

"But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise."

After hearing what the King (their host) had sent to them, they responded nonchalantly; they made light of it, paid no attention to it, didn't take him seriously, mocked his words, or were not persuaded to believe he meant what he said. Examining the meaning of "they made light of it" in my heart sends a great fear into my heart. How can they have made light of the word of the king? They never believed he could turn against them, or they might have also taught it wasn't as serious as that.

Some have taken God's word lightly; they have procrastinated God's instructions, they have nonchalantly discarded warnings and promises, even issues of destiny, they have watered down the severity of what God is saying. One question that popped in my heart is, "What could be responsible for this kind of response?" One major thing is "FAMILIARITY" When we are familiar with God's word or the medium by which God decides to come to us. 

Many have laughed off their destiny. Beloved, what has God said about you? What instructions has he given you? Please, don't make a joke around it, don't procrastinate it, GO ALL OUT, let your response be "this might be my last moment, I'll give it all". There might not be enough time left again; give it all. It doesn't matter how huge or little the demands are; give it all.

Don't make a light of God's word; give it your best shot!
