Accessing God's Help: The Key to Enjoying God's Provided Help (Part 2)
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Accessing God's Help
Yesterday, we examined the importance of knowing how to access the help that God has already provided. We also sought to understand the nature of the One who provided the help and the reason behind His willingness to help us.
This understanding lays the foundation for accessing the help that God has already made available.
Knowing that Jesus, our Great High Priest, can relate to our infirmities because He went through the same struggles we face today gives us confidence that He is willing to help us whenever we come to Him.
Our anchor Scripture then says in verse 16:
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
Come Boldly to the Throne of Grace"
To access God's help, we must come boldly.
What is this boldness based on?
It is not because of our strength—if we had enough strength, we would not need help in the first place.
It is not because of our righteousness.
Rather, it is because we have confidence in Jesus.
Firstly, He understands exactly what we are going through because He experienced life as we do.
Secondly, He overcame when He faced those same challenges.
Thirdly, He is willing to help everyone who comes to Him in faith.
Therefore, coming boldly is an act of acknowledging our total dependence on God and our complete confidence in His ability to help us.
Open Your Heart Before God
When we come to God with this understanding, we will not hide our weaknesses from Him. Instead, we will freely open our hearts before Him, exposing our fears, struggles, and inadequacies so that we may exchange them for His help.
Accessing God's help continually then becomes a function of how consistent we are in remaining at the throne of grace. The more consistently we come before Him, the more we position ourselves to receive the help He has already provided.
Beloved, the help is already yours.
To access it, you must come boldly, acknowledging God's ability to help you and relying on Him completely, believing that if He does not help you, no one else can.
Approach God today and receive the grace you need for this season.
Prayer
Father, I come before You believing that You are able to help me because You have overcome the world. Grant me the grace and help I need for this season, and teach me to rely on You completely. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Reflection
Jesus truly understands how you feel. Have you honestly told Him what is in your heart today? He is willing and able to help you.
