BE KIND

Text: Galatians 6:2-3;9-10

2 - Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
3 - For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 - As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith
.

We're right now in a very terrible season; everywhere in the world, people are going through a lot, many are bottling things, many are depressed, many are hungry, many are silently crying, some are sick, some are persecuted, some are wrongly incarcerated while their family members languish. Especially in Nigeria and some other countries, things are getting tougher by the day, economy reality is hitting harder, and so many things. Most of the time, I always pray silently that Jesus would come.

Now is the time to show that indeed we're God's children, not because you're not going through anything, but because one of the attributes of Jesus during his earthly ministry was that the Bible says everywhere he went, he was doing good. The scriptures above admonished us to use every opportunity we have to do good; we should not be weary of doing good. We should be ready to do good. What does it mean to do good? I'd like to summarise it to KINDNESS.

Being kind in our substance, being kind in our words, being kind in consideration, showing compassion to people, not concluding over anyone. It is kindness to give someone the benefit of the doubt before we conclude about them; it is kindness to check up on people and offer help if there's an ability to do it. The Bible says it's a seed and we shall reap it if we faint not in doing it.

Beloved, make it a lifestyle to be kind to people; the Bible says "to all men", before making an emphasis on believers. That little that you have would give hope to someone else; those clothes will cover someone's nakedness, that little money will save a life, that word of encouragement will cure depression, that gentle reply will comfort and console. Just be kind. Remember, what you sow is what you will reap.

Be kind!
