TOPIC: ACCESS TO THE HILL
TEXT:
Ps.24.3-5: 3. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
RECENTLY there was a post by someone on social media who claimed that at the RCCG Redemption Camp, she left her reading glass on the altar believing God for miracles, and according to her she came back the following day to pick up her glasses and she will never believe anything again. This is a sad reality, that our young minds are looking for God's hands when we should focus on God's face. However, everyone desire to stand at the hills of God, everyone wants to stand at his Holy place because they understand that is where his blessings reside. But the question that has been asked for ages is "Who shall ascend to these hills, or who shall stand at his Holy place?" This question is still valid today.
The Psalmist gave us the only true answer, if desiring is the peak of our faith in God to standing at the holy place of God, we might not just be able to receive anything from God. The Bible says those with pure minds, holy hands, those who have refused to lift their souls to vanity, and those who have not seductively misled people. Gaining access to the hills is a big deal, it's a place of fellowshipping and communion, and so a man must be prepared to be there.
You're worried that you haven't received anything from God yet? Wondering if God ever listens or existed before? Listen, God can never be mocked, He is very true to his words, he knows the intent of the heart and the purity of lives. If your soul is yet to be washed in the blood of the Lamb, or you haven't allowed the blood of Jesus Christ to daily purify and sanctify your mind, you won't see God and you won't gain access. If you set up your soul to vanity (i.e. you trust God to see if he will do things in your terms and conditions), or you deceive people through your words, dressing or even actions, you are not going to be permitted unto the hills of the Lord. The decision is yours to make, God doesn't change!
THINK TANK: God does not change, it's you that is yet to search him well.
PRAYER: Father, keep my mind pure in your word, help me to always trust you genuinely in Jesus Name.
