TOPIC: THOU SAITH IT

TEXT: Luke.22.69 - 71
71. Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
70. Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
71. And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.

Word is the most powerful tool given to mankind, with word, governments are established and with words also, governments are removed, with words rules and regulations are formed and with words they are disobeyed, with words armies are formed and given instructions and also with words armies are disbanded and coup happened. Everything that happens here on earth happened through words and remember that even the creator of heavens and earth uses words in creation.

While Jesus was arrested and was being tried, they kept on asking him various questions about his identity and the Bible says he kept quiet. However, the moment they spoke correctly about his identity, he replied them by saying "thou saith it.". The implication is that even though they do not agree to his priesthood and saviour status, they confess him as the son of God and Jesus confirmed their words by saying "as you have said, it becomes a witness against you." 

As a child of God, we must understand this mysteries that words are given to us by God as a tool and so we must become very mindful of what we say, our words must align with the word of God at all times so as to constantly remind God and also bring to pass his plans for our lives. When we're faced with challenges, our words must carry grace for deliverance. We must confess that which we believe and our subconsciousness must also obey this rules, so that even at our unguarded moments, our words align with God's plans.

THINK TANK: Words are powerful, so, it must be seasoned with grace.

PRAYER: Father, please cancel every bondage I have put myself by the virtue of my words and help me to be able to speak your mind at all times in Jesus Name.
