DAILY DIVINE WORD 12TH JANUARY 2021

TOPIC:
AVOID NEGOTIATION

TEXT:
Gen.25.29 - And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:
30 - And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 - And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 - And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?
33 - And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 - Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

EVERYTHING we've had and everything we have comes from God, we've not received anything that doesn't come from God and this is possible because we have Christ! The devil has nothing to offer except for mirage and because he knows that what God has given us is forever, he will always come around for exchange of these gifts. The strategy the devil uses in the garden of Eden is same thing he is using till date. And that strategy is NEGOTIATION!

Esau fell into this, he was not really going to understand what it means to give what belongs to you eternally for what you need for temporal. How could he not understand the weight of birthright and food? But became careless and insensitive that he traded God's gift for mirage!

You need to understand where God is taking you to, you need to understand that everything you have in God is packaged in Christ and that whatever comes outside of Christ is a sign of the devil whispering negotiation into your ears. Be sensitive and do not give the enemy of your soul chance for negotiation, don't negotiate your destiny with mirage, don't compare God's gift with things that doesn't last. Understand this, if it's outside of Christ, it's beyond your territory, don't give a look!

THINK TANK:
If it's outside of Christ, it doesn't worth your attention, move on!

PRAYER:
Father, may I not trade your gift with fading glory in Jesus Name.
