TOPIC:
Purifying Hope
TEXT:
1John.3.1 - Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 - And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
HOPE is one of the main ingredients of life, everyone that lives or still living does so on hope. The moment there's nothing to hope for, such life becomes not just boring but nearing its end. So, hope is what keeps many going, the question now isn't about if you're hopeful or not but what are you hopeful for? In this kingdom, what you do while hoping is what matters because it defines what you are hopefully for.
THERE'S a life beyond here, it so beautiful that we can't even describe how it will look, the only thing we know is that we'll look like the Author of life himself. Those that understand this and have this in mind lives with so much hope that looks ahead to that day, however, while they wait in hope, they constantly purify themselves because what they hoped for requires purification. They purify themselves!
WHAT you do while you wait shows what you are hopeful for, your waiting period should clearly shows what you understand about what is to come to you. If your hope is about God's promises, sincerely yours, you will wait in purity, you will hope and becomes so conscious of what God is doing in you, you will become desperately aligned with God's process. Your hope will be strong enough to hang on God and you'll wait "purifyingly".
THINK TANK:
Don't negotiate while waiting, let the understanding of God's plans for you defines your activities while hoping.
PRAYER:
Father, please don't let my hope in you fail and help me to align with you while waiting so I can keep myself pure in Jesus Name.
