IT'S ALREADY PREPARED

DAILY DIVINE WORD 
(A Sunset Devotional)

26th July, 2025

THEME: It's Prepared Already.

SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE: Mark 14: 12-15:

12 - Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?"
13 - And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him.
14 - Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, "The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"'
15 - Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us."



If a man knows what has been prepared for him and when exactly it will come to him, maybe we would worry less, maybe we won't even be anxious over anything as the scripture advised us. But, the mystery about life and about walking with God is just that we don't know the exact time that this will happen. Like they say in the world, "continue grinding, someday it will pay" and it's similar to the words of faith, when we say, "wait on God, he will surely come". 

Having said this, for us in the kingdom, we are not waiting blindly; we are waiting because we are certain that God has planned everything for us, and it's already prepared for us. If only we could have an understanding and the willingness to take God at his word, we would see the awesome work that has already been prepared for us.

Jesus lived a life of absolute trust in God, knowing fully well that all he needed had been truly provided. The scripture above shows how Christ gave his disciples the description of where the passover would be eaten, the banquet already set, all they needed to do was to find the owner of the house, and then they would feast!

Beloved, if we can trust God and learn how to listen and obey him, all we need in life and for life has been provided before we were born. Remember the scripture says God has provided all that we need pertaining to life and Godliness. Many of us would remain in the place of waiting, not because God is keeping us waiting, but because we have refused to obey God on how to find the man that he has sent with what has been prepared for us. 

If only we can trust and obey, Abraham trusted and obeyed and there was a ram already prepared for him waiting; Rebecca was already prepared for Isaac; Abraham's Servant only needed to find her. Money was waiting at the mouth of the fish; Peter only needed to find it. If we follow God, we'll get our portion because it's already prepared!

Reflection: If he has not provided it, he won't send you!

Prayer: Father, please help me to trust and obey, open my eyes to identify where my prepared portion is in Jesus' Name.
