TOPIC: WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE?

TEXT:

1John.3.2 - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.1John.3.3 - And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Hope is the fuel for life, once there's no more hope, life becomes boring and meaningless. The passion, zeal and drive to live and work harder is a product of how active and healthy our hope is. No man can live without hope. The question is where does your hope comes from, because what drives your hope will determine what you do and become with life.

The text above gave us a quick check into what should drive our hope as a child of God. The Bible says whoever look to becoming like God when he's sees him have a certain hope and whoever has this hope will purify himself just as God. The hope of seeing God someday will make you want to prepare always to be ready to be like God!

The Bible says "Christ in us, the hope of glory." If the essence of your living isn't to please God, or to do his will or you're looking up someday to become like him, you might be pursuing the wrong thing. The only hope that can fail is the one that hang on things that are imperishable (that is things not seen) because they can't fade. What you do with your life determine what drives your hope.
