TOPIC: DO YOU LOVE GOD? TEXT: 1John.5.3 The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome. (MSB) ASKING an average man who claims to be a Christian or probably who goes to church of he loves the Lord, the obvious answer one would get is a resounding YES!  Sometimes, we say things that are deep without actually being serious about them, probably because we do not have a full understanding. TOPIC: AT HIS WORD! TEXT: Gen.1.3 - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. THE depth of God can't be fathom, as much as we would want to have the knowledge of God, we can only have a glimpse because God is deep. His words are his identity and nothing can escape God's word, once it comes and at his command everything comes to the obedience of God.  From the text above, God needed light to show off so that the work of creation would begin, he immediately called forth light and without a delay, at his word, light came forth immediately. The urgency at which the light came shows that everything is subjected to God's word. Whatever God has said will always find expression. You need to understand that God's word will find expression at your command, you need to begin to put yourself in the advantage of having access to God's word. However, everything God does, he has time label for them, he lives in an eternal space where time isn't a factor but he has set us in a space where time is a serious factor. At the beginning of every year, most people deliberately have lists of their expectations and goals for the new year, some have resolution and updating their commitment to God and rightly so. However, the part that is common to most is that not all get to fulfill these goals and expectations, while everyone starts brightly, majority drops off at the middle of the journey. TOPIC: Be Ready TEXT:  Luke.12.35 - Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; For every man that understand his journey in life and perhaps have a clue about his destination, must as a matter of necessity prepare before taking any step in life. Every journey requires a maximum readiness because one must be sensitive to every move along the way. Jesus told His disciples from our scripture this morning to be ready and at alert, in fact their lights must be continually burning because it means readiness. How often do we actually think that our labour, smartness, commitment, intelligence and hard work are responsible for the beautiful resuk6we have had? Sometimes, before we acknowledge God, we tends to ascribe glory to ourselves, whereas everything we've got comes from above. The Psalmist says God's Name should get all the glory, His Name is a strong tower, His love and faithfulness through His Name has brought us this far. Don't be tempted to think that your hard work had earned you these amazing results but God has done it all. Today is already the third day in this year, be determined to always give God all glory over every circumstances in your life. Consider his love, faithfulness. TOPIC : God is Good TEXT:Psalms 136. 1 . O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever . THE goodness of God is outrightly out of argument, whenever we have a deep thought about our lives, we will see how good God is. The extent at which our God goes to show us goodness should actually explain his love towards us. The scripture above says God's goodness should lead us to giving thanks unto Him. However, God is said to be good because His mercy doesn't end, in fact, the mercy of God exist and endures forever, in other words, we experience the goodness of God because His mercy endures our imperfections. Gradually, the year is moving to an end again, he has been good to us since the start of 2021, he deserves our praise. If you are going to do nothing today, thank God for his goodness.
