DAILY DIVINE WORD 5TH JANUARY 2020

TOPIC: Keep the Lamp Burning
TEXT: Luke.12.35 - Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 - And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

At the beginning of every year, most people deliberately have lists of their expectations and goals for the new year, some have resolution and updating their commitment to God and rightly so. However, the part that is common to most is that not all get to fulfill these goals and expectations, while everyone starts brightly, majority drops off at the middle of the journey.

As we considered yesterday, Jesus instructed the disciples to ensure that their lamps are ever burning. The reason Jesus had to give this charge was because He understood that at a point their will be storms and wind that will threaten the fire on the lamp, however if a man would decide to sustain the fire on the lamp, he will have to go extra mile to keep the fire burning.

As we journey through this year, it is important that we rely totally on God as we become resolute to keep the fire burning irrespective of what will come our ways. Let us fix our gaze on God who is able to keep us and keep our fire burning. May your fire keep burning until the end in Jesus Name.

THINK TANK: When all chips are down, remember the fire needs to keep burning.
PRAYER: Father, I hand over my fire to you, please help me to keep burning always in Jesus Name.

IT'S ALREADY PREPARED

DAILY DIVINE WORD  (A Sunset Devotional) 26th July, 2025 THEME : It's Prepared Already. SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE : Mark 14: 12-15: 12 - Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?" 13 - And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. 14 - Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, "The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"' 15 - Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us." If a man knows what has been prepared for him and when exactly it will come to him, maybe we would worry less, maybe we won't even be anxious over anything as the scripture advised us. But, the mystery about life and about walking with...

DAILY DIVINE WORD 26TH JANUARY 2021

TOPIC: GUARD YOUR FREEDOM. TEXT:  1Cor.8.9 - But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 1Cor.8.10 - For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 1Cor.8.11 - And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 1Cor.8.12 - But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 1Cor.8.13 - Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend. TRUTHFULLY  Christ came to deliver freedom to us, Christ's freedom is also freedom indeed because He says "if the son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed." He has given us freedom from traditions, laws, old practices, superstitions, tales, and the likes. So we have liberty in J...

DAILY DIVINE SUNSET DEVOTIONAL

DAILY DIVINE SUNSET DEVOTIONAL 4th May 2023   TOPIC : Living with Power   TEXT :  Acts 1:6-8 [ 6]When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? [7]And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. [8]But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. MANY people had thought that to make impact in life has to deal with having plenty money, while the Bible actually says money answers all things, we must understand that the Bible does not say money rules affairs. Also many people believes that mercy is the only key that opens a meaningful life, while that might be true, if mercy will not deliver Power to any one, the impact might be minimal. Many rich people w...
