TOPIC: UNTO YOU!
TEXT: Luke 8:10
[10]And he said, Unto you, it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
There's a man who loves to share his secret with his children because he sees them as his heirs who will look after his inheritance after he might have gone. Whenever this man is with visitors and the need to pass information across to his children, he uses signs to do so. The children will later come back to ask of their father the meaning and reasons for his coded information, the father will calmly explain to them and says "it differentiate between a son and a stranger."
Jesus always at every time speaks publicly with parables especially when he's speaking about the mysteries of the kingdom of God. This parable left the teachers of the law more confused because they failed to understand the wisdom in the parables. However, the disciples always find time to ask of him the meaning of his parables, and one of those periods, Jesus explained to them that the mysteries of the kingdom has been granted unto them.
The revelation of mysteries of the kingdom of God has been graciously granted unto us through our connection to the Son of God (the words of God), the world also hears the same thing we're hearing but they may not understand because it has not been given unto them but only unto us. However, it's not automatic, the disciples of Jesus did not just stop at hearing the parables, they also proceeded by asking him the meaning to the mysteries at the secret place. We can't afford to just hear or read about this mystery, we must ask and ask until it's been revealed unto us. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD DETERMINES OUR REVELATION ABOUT THE MYSTERIES OF GOD.
THINK TANK: Everything has been given unto you, don't stop until you have access to them all.
PRAYER: Father, help me to continue building my relationship with you till I gain everything that has been delivered unto me in Jesus' Name.
