DAILY DIVINE WORD THURSDAY, 16TH JUNE 2022 TOPIC: SALVATION IS AN ADVANTAGE TEXT: Isa.12.3 - Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. THE best decision anyone can ever make is to decide to handover his life to Christ while accepting the life of Christ. You might have heard it before, but we might still be unable to unravel the mystery behind salvation. The act of believing in the finished work of Christ and accepting his life seems just ordinary on the surface, but each time you seek to understand how so, you kept on seeing a new depth. Indeed salvation gives us an edge in this world. THE scripture above just described salvation as a fountain or wells. Salvation has many portals, and inside each portals or well, there's abundance of living waters readily available for drawing. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. (KJV) THE worth of a man is the sum total of his life, because what a man knows to be his worth ends up defining the essence and meaning of his life. Most times, when life comes at us, and it seems the world is coming to an end, it seems our worth also comes down, and that's the reason it's important to note that your worth is not just about the material possessions you've got because when life jumps on you, these things comes crumble and material things are also temporary. Many times we are always in a situation when we know that our strength won't just take us through, sometimes we have put in our efforts, best and strategy into our expectations but seems nothing is coming forth. Faith is said to be the sense of the spirit, we bring things to pass through our faith, it's the assurance that we already received that which we demand when we pray. TOPIC: WHAT GIVES YOU HOPE? TEXT: 1John.3.2 - Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.1John.3.3 - And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure . Hope is the fuel for life, once there's no more hope, life becomes boring and meaningless. The passion, zeal and drive to live and work harder is a product of how active and healthy our hope is. No man can live without hope. The question is where does your hope comes from, because what drives your hope will determine what you do and become with life. The text above gave us a quick check into what should drive our hope as a child of God. The Bible says whoever look to becoming like God when he's sees him have a certain hope and whoever has this hope will purify himself just as God. TOPIC : No New Sign . TEXT : Matt.16.4 - A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. Our generation is going to a point where life isn't going to have value anymore. Ritual, immorality, suicide, organ harvesting, kidnapping and terrorism is becoming the norm that we are being advised to learn how to live with it. And yet, because God's patience is enduring to permit more souls to be saved, this generation is waiting for signs from heaven to confirm that God is real or not. God is real! TOPIC: ARE YOU UPRIGHT? TEXT: Ps.84.11 - For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Sometimes when I'm in large congregation of worshipers, I will take a deep breath and imagine if all these souls are actually a Christians, and then I will conclude that if they are, then it's enough to turn around the land for God. The truth is that what we have presently are men and women that are just claiming to be God's children but there's nothing they produce that resemble Christ except they go to church. God cannot be mocked, the scripture above explain the benefits of an Upright Man. The Lord will give grace and glory and nothing GOOD will be withhold from them that are upright.
